Pros:
Easy to understand directions.  Instantly addictive and fun.  Even an 8 year old can play.
Cons:
Addictive.
Overall Impression:
We love Brainstring Original!!  From the moment we took it out of its clear simple packaging, we were hooked.  In fact, Lori cannot go to bed at night, knowing that the strings are tangled.  There are not many toys in our house that everyone in our family would fight over.  Our 8 year old really enjoys having Lori or I mix and tangle the Brainstring Original up multiple times a day.  One of the best things about Brainstring Original is it’s not impossible to solve.  Unlike other brainteaser puzzles, the kids can figure it out, giving them a great sense of accomplishment.  But if I’m being totally honest, which I always want to be, I too get great satisfaction from solving Brainstring Original.  Definitely a TOP TOY!!  Check out Brainstring Original‘s brother, Brainstring Advanced too!!

Pros:  FUN!!  Allows for great creativity.  FUN!!  No wrong way to use it.  Did we mention FUN!!!!
Cons:  A little pricey at just under $30
Overall Impression:
We love Ball of Whacks!!  From the moment we opened the package, our whole family was hooked.  The kids have not put it down.  That’s not true.  They put it down to eat dinner and sleep…I don’t think they’ve taken it into the bathroom.  Let’s assume not.  Although, you never know.

The Creative Whack Company is offering this great toy/game that truly allows for creative thinking.  A couple of our kids have ADHD and the Ball of Whacks has really gotten their creative juices flowing.  They like to follow the pictures in the booklet to make cool designs and love to create their own funky shapes.  Unlike brainteasers, the Ball of Whacks does not need to be solved.  You just use it to make whatever your mind allows.

The magnetic pyramids are pretty powerful and hold together really well.  The Ball of Whacks is offered in Red, Blue, Black or Multi-colored.

Other than the slightly high price for Ball of Whacks at $29.95, the only problem is we don’t have more of them to keep the kids from fighting over it.
